Sports Premium Impact 2017/2018

 

* Specialist PE teacher delivering high quality PE lessons showing progression and inclusion across all year groups.

 

* Staff professional development with observations of lessons and knowledge of pupils’ progress. Staff able to gain confidence in teaching PE and have a source of help nearby.

 

* Profile of PE is high with regular Newsletter accounts, section on the school website, a well-presented PE board in the school and numerous newspaper mentions about Blisland Primary.

 

* A well-resourced PE shed with enough updated equipment.

 

* New sports introduced to further pupil opportunities such as trampolining and hip-hop dancing.

* Whole school approach to sports such as the activity days, sports relief,  and others.   

* Silver Kitemark September 2016 in recognition received as a result of the enthusiasm shown by the school. 

 

Sports Premium Impact 2016/2017
  • Specialist PE teacher delivering high quality PE lessons showing progression and inclusion across all year groups. Specialist organises events such as Gifted and talented opportunities for cluster schools which Blisland participate.
  • Staff professional development with observations of lessons and knowledge of pupils’ progress.
  • Profile of PE is high with regular Newsletter accounts, section on the school website, a well-presented PE board in the school. School is regularly featured in the local press.
  • A well-resourced PE shed with enough updated equipment.
  • New sports introduced and further pupil opportunities such as duathlon, mountain biking and dodgeball. More to come including Orienteering and Cross-Country. Cross country club had a 50% of Juniors taking part running in the wonderful environment of the school location.
  • Links with the local Community College where sporting opportun ities such as leagues/festivals are on offer and regular sessions with sports leaders.
  • Blisland attended Wake and Shake competition which was for 6 schools and the duathlon which involved parent involvement which is great for the community links.
  • Bronze Kitemark recognition received as a result of the enthusiasm shown by the school.
  • Well organised sports day. Parent feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

 

 

 

Massive improvents in skills and confidence gained by weekly gymnastic lessons as the purpose built gymnastics centre in Bodmin. The children had many experiences on a variety of equipment and the use of a sprung gym floor.
